It is important that we start appreciating the contribution being made by young people, motivate them and make them have desire to work and grow.

As Vinci builds its factory, government can start planting coffee on its vast land (or even acquire more land) which they can then “undertake to take all reasonable measures to give priority of supply of coffee” to Vinci. I don’t think any coffee stakeholder or farmer will raise any finger when beans from the government’s farms are given to a single buyer.

Question: what makes you think you are close to the youth of Uganda? Are you close by age or association? Or as a leader? And if by association or as a leader, do you even know how many youth are jobless on streets and in villages? Or how many have slept hungry tonight? First and foremost, you are not right on what youth want.

And going by the birthday celebrations at the weekend, it seems more is yet to come. if a Sunday morning tweet from his marketing strategist, Balam, that the next birthday bash is Kotido, Karamoja, is anything to go by, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba is not about to turn back. Who knows where next?

This is not good for the stability of the Country and it is not even good for Hon. Kyagulanyi since it reduces him to only Buganda. Therefore, such statements that attempt to divide the Country along tribal lines, must be rejected and condemned in the strongest terms possible.

The Commander of Land Forces, Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who has been “decorated” by the social media constituency as a tweeting General because of his free flowing opinions and comments on social media, has been tweeting about the insecurity in Karamoja. In one of the tweets that was trending on social media, the General is quoted to have said thus, “we have begged…now we are coming and hell is coming with us.”
