National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine says he has lost trust in President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s commitment to account for all Ugandans that have gone missing in recent months.

At the weekend, President Museveni addressed the nation on the state of security.

He assured Ugandans all missing people would be accounted for.

But security agencies, particularly Uganda Police Force, insist they are clueless on the whereabouts of about 30 missing people.

According to Bobi Wine, Museveni’s address was an admission of responsibility for the missing Ugandans.

On February 16, Bobi Wine called for accountability for the missing Ugandans and revealed he would seek international intervention for these crimes.

He was expected at the United Nations Human Rights Office in Kololo in Kampala on Wednesday where he hoped to ask the international body “to intervene and ensure that perpetrators of these grave violations are brought to book.”

“As all Ugandans know by now, the domestic mechanisms are all compromised and intimidated. Since Uganda is a member of the United Nations and has ratified several international human rights treaties, we shall invoke international laws to ensure that Museveni’s humiliation of the citizens comes to an end,” he added.
