Ashraf Kasirye, a reporter with National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s Ghetto TV, was shot December 27.
He was covering Bobi Wine’s campaign in Lwengo.
Kasirye was shot in the head and rushed to Masaka Regional Referral Hospital.
Contrary to reports that Kasirye was dead, Bobi Wine said his supporter and media assistant was still alive.
“Comrade Ashraf Kasirye (Ghetto Media) has been shot,” said Bobi Wine.
“He is in a critical condition. Doctors are doing their best to save his life.”
