President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has announced his retirement from the Ugandan army, the UPDF.
Lt Gen Kainerugaba is the commander of the UPDF land forces and senior presidential advisor on special operations.
In a tweet sent out on March 08, the first son said he was retiring from the army after almost three decades.
“After 28 years of service in my glorious military, the greatest military in the world, I am happy to announce my retirement,” wrote Kainerugaba.
“Me and my soldiers have achieved so much! I have only love and respect for all those great men and women that achieve greatness for Uganda everyday.”
