Uganda Cranes game against Burkina Faso Stallions is the second last opportunity the team has to qualify for 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) finals in Cameroon.
Uganda Cranes are battling Stallions at the St Mary’s stadium in Kitende.
All Uganda needs to qualify tonight is a win against Burkina Faso Stallions.
If the team loses against Burkina Faso, it will have to wait for the game against Malawi — and pray that they [Cranes] win against Malawi on March 29 in Lilongwe.
A draw with Burkina Faso would also mean that Uganda Cranes would have to pray for another draw with Malawi.
It should be remembered that Uganda would have qualified had they beaten South Sudan.
But South Sudan humbled Uganda 1-0 in the Group B qualifier match played at the Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya, in November 2020.
Caretaker coach Abdallah Mubiru is leading colleagues Livingstone Mbabazi and Fred Kajoba into this crucial game since Fufa suspended Johnathan McKinstry.
