A postmortem report filed by a team of senior pathologists has indicated that Kampala Catholic Archbishop Dr Cyprian Kizito Lwanga succumbed to heart attack occasioned by a blood clot.
Archbishop Lwanga passed on Saturday, April 03 in his bedroom at his residence in the capital Kampala.
Some like singer-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine claimed Lwanga had died under unclear circumstances.
But interim Kampala Archdiocese administrator Monsignor Charles Kasibante and health coordinator Dr Andrew Ssekitooleko have confirmed Lwanga succumbed to a heart attack after suffering a blood clot.
In a statement, Kasibante and Ssekitooleko added that the cause of death was consistent with the health history of the Archbishop.
