Police in Entebbe have confirmed the murder of Bogiya Nambi, a mobile money operator in Lugala.
Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire says Nambi, 30, was killed at about 9pm of February 24 near a house she rented in Lugala.
Owoyesigyire added that assailants had trailed Nambi from her place of work, taken money from her and killed her.
A team of detectives, K9 and Flying Squad operatives was yet to find the killers.
“Three cartridge casings have been recovered from the scene. They will be examined to establish the firearm used,” noted Owoyesigyire.
“The body of the deceased has been conveyed to City mortuary for a postmortem. Investigations into the murder by shooting are on.”
