The Education Service Commission (ESC) has announced an extension of the deadline for receiving applications for the positions of Headteacher and deputy headteacher for up to 92 seed schools at secondary level.
Those interested in the jobs now have up to end of Sunday to submit their application letters and accompanying documents via an online portal.
“This is to inform all applicants for Education Service Commission internal advert no. 05/2024 in respect of posts of headteacher and deputy headteacher in seed secondary schools built under the Uganda Inter-Government Fiscal Transfer Program (UGIFT), that the deadline for receiving applications has been extended to Sunday, December 08, 2024 at 11:59 pm on the e-recruitment portal,” noted Mohammed Kaaya, the acting secretary for the Education Service Commission.
“The processes and procedures for application as outlined in the advert remain unchanged.”
The seed schools are Kotomor Seed S.S in Agago, Apapai Seed S.S Kalaki, Labongo Layamo Seed S.S Kitgum, Toroma Seed S.S Katakwi, Padibe East Seed S.S Lamwo, Olio Seed S.S Serere, Latanya Seed S.S Pader, Katugunda Seed S.S Bunyangabu, Amuru Town Seed School Amuru, Kichwamba Seed S.S Kabarole, Arocha Seed S.S Apac, Bwesumbu Seed S.S Kasese, Adeknino Seed S.S Dokolo AND Kanara Seed S.S Kitagwenda.
Other seed schools are Kole Seed S.S, Ruyonza Seed S.S Kyegegwa, Railway Seed S.S Lira City, Kigaraale Community S.S Kyenjojo, Awei Seed School Alebtong, Katungama Seed S.S Ntoroko, Etam Seed School Amolatar, Kibuuku Seed S. S Ntoroko, Got Apwoyo Seed S.S Nwoya, St. Mugaga Voc. S.S Muhangi Kibaale, Ndibarema Memorial S.S- Nsiika Buhweju and Kihungya Seed S.S Bullisa.
The others are Kanyamurera Seed S.S Bushenyi, Kyangwali Seed S.S Kikuube, Kitojo Seed S.S Mitooma, Kidikuru Seed S.S Hoima, Rwanyamahembe Seed S.S Mbarara, King Solomon S.S Kagadi, Nyabihoko Seed S.S Ntungamo, Kitegwa Community S.S Kagadi, St. Kizito High School Magambo Rubirizi, Christ the King Seed S.S – Mpasana Kakumiro, Ruhija Seed S.S. Rubanda, Kijunjubwa Community S.S Masindi, Bukinda Seed S.S Rukiga, Kigumba T/C Seed S.S Kiryandongo, Nansanga Seed S.S Budaka and Budhaya Seed School Bugiri.

The list of seed secondary schools for which the Education Ministry is hiring headteachers and deputy headteachers also includes Kaptanya Seed S.S Kapchorwa, Arinyapi S. S Adjumani, Kaptum Seed S.S Kween, St. Peter’s S.S Arua, Moyok Seed S.S Kween, Nyakaliso Seed S.S Koboko, Nakatsi Seed S.S Bududa, All Saint Seed S.S Oluvu Maracha, Khabutoola Seed S.S Manafwa, Gopole Seed S. S Obongi, Lwasso Seed S.S Mbale, Kerwa Seed S.S, Yumbe, Namboko Seed S.S Namisindwa, Drajini Seed S.S, Yumbe, and St. Mary S.S Bugitimwa Sironko.
