Singer Ronald Mayinja has vowed not to leave President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s NRM for Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s NUP party but insisted the 77-year-old long-serving leader must leave power.
Recently, Mayinja, an NRM-leaning singer, shocked many when he released the ‘Abantu Baganye’ song telling Museveni that Ugandans have rejected him and that he should leave power and go to Rwakitura. (Read Story Here).
But now, the politically flip-flopping singer has sworn not to leave the NRM but made it clear it would be prudent for Museveni to leave power peacefully.
“I have not left the NRM party. People have just chosen not to understand me,” Mayinja told a local YouTuber.
“I was just telling Museveni to leave power peacefully.”
