Singer Julie Mutesasira has told Canada’s Got Talent that she could not stay in Uganda after coming out as gay.
Julie’s children Esther and Ezekiel have progressed through the auditions stage of the Canada Got Talent.
In an interview with the talent search crew, Julie, who was formerly married to Pastor Steven Mutesasira, openly spoken about being gay.
“I decided to leave Uganda because I came out because of my sexuality,” she said.
“Being a gay woman and married to a pastor in Uganda, that’s an abomination.”
Ugandans first learnt of Julie Mutesasira’s gay orientation when she wedded a fellow woman. (Read Story Here).
