Kayihura and Muhoozi Kainerugaba
Former police chief Gen Kale Kayihura has warned those taking first son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba lightly, saying the president’s son has demonstrated great potential.
Lt Gen Kainerugaba celebrated his 48th birthday at an event held at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.
On April 24, President Museveni held a dinner in honor of Lt Gen Kainerugaba. (See Photos from Muhoozi Dinner HERE).
Gen Kayihura was not one of the guests at the two major events but the former police chief engaged in a 21km marathon with his aides in Lyantonde as a way of honoring the first son.
He would later tell government newspaper The New Vision that Kainerugaba is “a generational visionary leader” who shouldn’t be underestimated.
‘We must not take Muhoozi lightly. You can see how he is strengthening relations between Uganda, Rwanda, and Africa,” said Kayihura.
“I commend him for such efforts that propel peace and stability.”
Kainerugaba has previously begged his father Museveni to forgive Kayihura. (Read Story Here).
