Lindah Nabusayi Wamboka has today, Thursday, August 05, handed over the of office of senior presidential press secretary after President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni relieved her of her duties a few days ago.
Nabusayi, who had been deputy press secretary for years, had replaced Don Wanyama a little over a year ago after Museveni appointed him (Wanyama) as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Vision Group.
Following the July 30 announcement in which the appointment of Sandor Walusimbi was announced, Nabusayi has handed over office to the new man chosen by the appointing authority.
She said it was the honor of her life to serve the president of the republic. She also expressed confidence in Walusimbi, calling him her “great resourceful colleague.”
“It has been an absolute honour and pleasure to serve President Museveni State House and my country as Senior Press Secretary to the President of the Republic,” said Nabusayi.
“I am proud to hand over to a great resourceful colleague Sandor Walusimbi. Thank you dear Countrymen and Women.”
As Walusimbi now takes over office as senior press secretary, it is not clear if Nabusayi will deployed elsewhere by President Museveni or if she will be left to retire.
What is clear for now is that she will be out of the president’s office since even the job she had prior to her shortlived elevation in April 2021 has been taken over by NRM mobilizer Faruk Kirunda. (Read Story Here).
