Great moments for Margaret and Edward Ssekandi
Former Ugandan Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi ‘tamala gogela:’ he does not just talk nor talk ‘fwaaa’ but rather shows. During his 10-year tenure as vice president, Ssekandi minded his business and did not interfere in his boss Gen Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s issues. He once in a while appeared at an event, read Gen Museveni’s speech and that would, in most cases, be all.
Since retiring, ex-VP Ssekandi seems to be enjoying and eating his life with a big spoon, save for a recent revelation that he was in some sort of legal battle with a woman, who claims to be the mother of his children, over properties in Masaka and Kampala.
As if seeking to send a clear statement to this alleged ‘side chic,’ Ssekandi has shared pictures of himself and his official wife Margaret Ssekandi, captioning one of them something to do with avoiding unnecessary drama.
In other pictures, Edward and Margaret are seen holding hands on a beach, trying to enjoy themselves, sipping at a Coke.
The couple seems happy in their retirement as the former Vice President enjoys the fruits of his labour and the retirement benefits that come with being a high profile government employee that Ssekandi was for many years.
Before he was appointed vice president, Ssekandi was speaker of Uganda’s parliament. In his retirement, Ssekandi enjoys hundreds of millions every year, all coughed by the tax payers.
