Health Minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng is expected to address the nation following the confirmation of the new deadly Covid19 Omicron variant confirmed in Uganda.
Health ministry spokesperson Emmanuel Ainebyoona has confirmed the address will happen “shortly” after Aceng has left an event in Gulu.
“Omicron Variant: Minister of Health Jane Ruth Aceng to make a statement shortly,” said Ainebyoona.
“Currently speaking at an event to receive the newly constructed Outpatient Department building at Gulu RR Hospital constructed with funding from JICA.”
