Museveni, Kakwenza Rukirabashaija and first son Muhoozi Kainerugaba
Exiled novelist Kakwenza Rukirabashaija has made a shocking confession, revealing how he ate President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s money but refused to show up for a meeting.
On January 11, court charged Rukirabashaija with disturbing President Museveni’s and son’s peace. (Read story here).
He had been in detention since December 28 when he was arrested from Kisaasi, Kampala after he reportedly attacked President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni and his son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba on Twitter (Read story here).

After leaving detention, the novelist claimed that Muhoozi had met him and promised him money and a juicy job. (Read Story Here).

Now, Rukirabashaija has confessed that he ate President Museveni’s money sometime in November 2020. He revealed that the Shs5m was meant to facilitate his transport from Rukungiri to the city where he would meet Museveni.
The novelist would then switch off his phone for a full month.
“Confession: I once ate Museveni’s transport money and failed to show up. Nov. 2020 I was called and I told lady caller that I was in Rukungiri, broke without fuel,” narrated Rukirabshaija.
“She sent me 5m. After withdrawing it, I switched off my phone for a month. That was also an issue during torture.”
