Speaker Jacob Oulanyah Rushed to US Hospital in Critical Condition

The health of speaker of Parliament Jacob Lokori Oulanyah has deteriorated, prompting government to fly him to the US for treatment.

As we reported last week, Oulanyah was recently admitted at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala.

Other sources now say he had also been treated at the Mulago National Referral Hospital.

But the Omoro County MP’s condition is said to have deteriorated.

Oulanyah, who has not been seen in public for over a month now, would then be rushed to the US on Thursday, February 03, 2022.

The speaker was reported flown to Seattle using a chartered Uganda Airlines A330 air craft registration code 5X-NIL.

This is not the first time Oulanyah’s health condition is becoming a subject of public attention.

Last year, he reportedly flew to the UK for treatment. (Read story here).
