Deputy speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah has left Ugandans closely following the 11th Parliament speaker race guessing after he posted “it came to pass.”
Oulanyah, who is seeking to unseat his boss Rebecca Kadaga, share a quote from 19th century English poet Christina Georgina Rossetti’s work, alluding to victory in early May.
“I cannot tell you how it was, / But this I know: it came to pass / Upon a bright and sunny day / When May was young; ah, pleasant May!” posted Oulanyah as he wished his supporters a happy new month.
The ruling NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) is expected to announce its choice for speaker candidate.
