Ibrahim Bbosa
Tax collector Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has appointed Ibrahim Bbosa as its spokesperson as the board of directors chose new commissioners and assistant commissioners.
Bbosa is the new assistant commissioner for public and corporate affairs.
The position had remained vacant since February when Vincent Sseruuma’s contract expired.
Ian Rumanyika has been the acting spokesperson.
The board appointed Bbosa and others in a special sitting held in October.
Bbosa will now leave Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) and join URA.
Also appointed is former Uganda National Roads Authority (Unra) head of accounts Denis Kugonza Kateeba who will be the new commissioner for tax investigations.
Robert Mutebi is the new commissioner in charge of Information Technology and Innovation; Allen Nassanga is the new assistant commissioner in charge of research and innovation; while former Ernst & Young Uganda’s Sarah Chelangat Muzungyo is the new commissioner in charge of domestic taxes.
