Uganda Police Force (UPF) says it has killed four robbers in an Acacia Mall Stanbic Bank foiled robbery. The robbers had plotted to steal cash at the bank branch.
At least five suspected robbers were involved in the foiled bank robbery at Acacia Mall.
In a brief statement, police said the fifth suspect survived with injuries that put him in a critical health condition.
Police also said the killed robbers had been on their watchlist.
The law and order agency believes these might have taken part in other robberies. “Police have thwarted a bank robbery at Acacia Mall, neutralizing four suspects involved in a Stanbic Bank heist. A fifth suspect is in critical condition,” police said.
“These individuals were already on the police watch list and are believed to be linked to a series of robberies.”

The suspects tracked their target from Acacia Mall, aiming to seize a cash bag, but were intercepted at several sites, including Total Acacia and Tagore Road.
