A section of Ugandans is mocking Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo of House of Prayer Ministries International (HPMI) for lying flat on the ground while praying, saying he is doing it for money.
During a May 15 Sunday service at Canaan Land based in Makerere-Kikoni in the capital Kampala, Pastor Bujjingo was pictured lying on the dust-filled ground and facing the sky.
Balokole pastors and their flock are known to react in such ways when the Spirit of God reportedly descends on them.
But photos of the pastor lying on the ground have since gone viral, with some netizens accusing the controversial ‘man of God’ of engaging in a ‘stunt’ to be able to collect money from church members.

Pastor Bujjingo is known for courting controversy and for speaking his mind, even when it annoys some sections of Ugandans. Recently, Pastor Bujjingo said first Lt Gen Muhoozi Kaineruga will become Uganda’s president, taking over from his father Gen Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni whether Ugandans want or not.
