The father to the late Martha Ahumuza, Seth Murari, has assured the public that he is not going to relax until he has discovered the clear truth behind his daughter’s death.
This followed Ahumuza’s shocking death that occurred mid this week at Mezo Noir Club at Kololo in Kampala due to suspected poisoning.

Ahumuza was laid to rest at Nyarubanga in Mbarara District, western Uganda, on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
Born on February 12, 2002, Ahumuza was only 23.
According to Ahumuza’s mother Babra Murari, Ahumuza died before fulfilling what she had promised her. “I only attended her graduation,” she said at the burial.
At a vigil held on Friday, Ms Murari told mourners that “the devil stole my daughter,” adding that her daughter had died “without falling sick.”

Ms Murari said she had done everything humanely possible to protect her daughter in vain.
“I refused her to stay in the hostel on campus; she obeyed. I asked her to move in the taxi; she complied. I asked her to move by boda boda; she accepted, but later I said, What if my only daughter gets a problem on a boda boda? I decided to buy her a car,” she recalled.
“She studied for three years at university and brought me a degree. I was happy, and I celebrated. At a time when I should be relaxing, looking forward to her bringing me a husband, starting a family, and blessing me with grandchildren, the devil has stolen her from me.”
At the burial, Ahumuza’s father Seth Murari, vowed to find out how his daughter died.

“I can assure the public and the relatives that we shall get to the bottom of this no matter what cost,” said Murari.
Murari is the National Sports and Games Coordinator in the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), as well as a presidential advisor on sports.
He further described his daughter as “a good child who keeps smiling and social to everyone.”

Ahumuza’s friend Kimberly said: “I have been Martha’s friend for a good time; she was full of love, joy, selfless, considerate and curious but in a right way.

“I don’t even know what to say, Martha I lost a sister, but I believe I gained an angel. Please watch over me. I love you and rest with angles I’m going to miss you.”
