Ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party chairman President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has appointed Richard Todwong to become Secretary General, Rose Namayanja her deputy and Nekesa Oundo the treasurer of the secretariat.
Todwong will replace Justine Kasule Lumumba, who Museveni has appointed minister of general duties in the office of the prime minister, replacing former Bushenyi Woman MP Mary Busingye Karooro Okurut.
Namayanja has been the party’s treasurer but will now become the NRM deputy secretary general, a position hitherto held by Todwong.
Nekesa will replace Namayanja, a former information minister, as treasurer.
The new changes were part of the instrument announcing the release of the new cabinet list.
