Despite her disqualification from contesting as the NRM flag-bearer for the National Female youth MP due to youth age limit, Fiona Nakku has not given up on the party.
Nakku’s disqualification by the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission, came after the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) confirmed that she is 31 years old that makes her above the youth age limit.
Due to the love and passion for the party (NRM) Nakku says she did not give up on the party and was seen yesterday launching the ” Youth for Museveni movement targeting 13M votes ahead of the general elections 2026.
Nakku says this platform has been established with a clear mission: to unite and mobilize the youths in all the parts of the country under the support of the visionary leader Y K Museveni” as Uganda approaches the 2026 general elections.
“Our objective for the youths Movement today, is to mobilize and rally for 13 million votes in support for His Excellency Yoweri K Museveni in the coming general elections 2026,” said Nakku.
In the 2021 presidential elections, Museveni got 6,042,898 votes or 58.38 per cent of the 10,744,319 votes cast.

Other objectives include training and empowering the youth leaders at the District, Sub county and the grassroots with skills in leadership, communication and ideological clarity, fostering unity among young people and building a strong Nation of Uganda.
She noted that they are starting this journey with 151 NRM Districts which will lead the efforts in the respective Districts and Sub regions and ensuring the voice of the youths is heard, respected and translated into action.
“This is not just a political movement; it’s a call to action for the young people. That together we can deliver the promise of the 13 million votes for 2026 and take charge of this part,” added Nakku.
In attendance there were various youth leaders across the country that include; Derrick Onyaba the youth chairperson from Eastern Uganda, Muhammad Senyange, central region, Sharif Namanya, the youth chairperson Bushenyi District in western region, who also seconded Nakku’s ideology and endorsed President Museveni as the Uganda President for life.
