Uganda Police Force (UPF) says it is looking for one of its officers for failing to stop a concert organized by Nigerian singer Stanley Omah Didia aka Omah Lay at Ddungu Resort Munyonyo in Kampala on December 12.
On December 13, Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) confirmed the arrest of Omah Lay, events manager Prim Kasana and Ddungu Resort Munyonyo manager Ivan Ddungu over the an authorized concert.
Omah Lay, Kasana and Ddungu are being detained at the Katwe Police Station.
According to KMP spokesperson Patrick Onyango, the trio will face charges of doing acts likely to spread Covid19.
Onyango also revealed that police was looking for the officer in charge of the area for sleeping on his job.
The police officer-in-charge of Munyonyo is likely to face charges of negligence.
“Police is also looking for the area Officer in Charge of Police Station for failure to detect the criminal acts that took place in his area of jurisdiction,” said Onyango.
