POOR NANCY! Trouble for Ex-Presidential Candidate Kalembe as Bank Moves to Auction Her Properties over Debts

Former presidential candidate Nancy Kalembe is reportedly in trouble after a financial institution notified her of its intention to auction her properties over debts.

Kalembe was the only female presidential candidate in the 2021 election.

She once hinted on the need for nearly Shs200m to fund her campaign expenses.

It was not clear if she got the money or how she got it — if she did.

Now, a notice from a financial institution indicates that she has 30 days within which to save her properties from being auctioned.

The properties at risk of being auctioned are found along Kyadondo Block 246 Plot 1779 and Bulemezi block 443, Plot 112, 115 and 116.

In part, a notice from Ortus Advocates read: “Upon instructions from our client a financial institution, we shall proceed to sell by public auction/private treaty the property under the mortgage Act 2009 and Deed unless the debtor pays all monies owning principal and interest plus our fees, costs and disbursement before the date of sale.”
