SAD! Private Security Guard Shoots Bouncer after Refusing to Pay for Beer

A private security guard is in police detention for allegedly shooting a bouncer after failing to pay for his beer.

The private security guard escaped from the bar he had been drinking from after shooting the civilian bouncer who had insisted that he pay for the beer he had drunk.

But police in Masindi arrested the private security guard and detained him as investigators seek to get to the root of matter.

Albertine regional police spokesperson Julius Hakiza identified the private security guard as Luke Nziku, who works for SGA Security.

The shot civilian bouncer has been identified as Simon Wadiya.

Preliminary findings by Masindi police indicate that on Monday, Nziku had gone to Quilox Bar on Sebagala Street of Masindi Town for a beer.

That Nziku would go on and down the beer but refuse to pay for it.

It was Nziku’s actions that compelled Wadiya to come in and try to make him pay for his beer.

In the ensuing scuffle between bar bouncer and private security guard, the latter fired bullets, one of which hit the former’s thigh.

Wadiya was rushed to Masindi General Hospital as Nziku fled the scene of crime.

Patrons and bar staff alerted police about the incident, and a hunt for Nziku started.

The private security guard was arrested in Masindi Town.
