Accident
Scores of people have been injured in an accident along Kampala-Masaka Road. The accident involved a Toyota Hiace taxi and a truck.
The Toyota Hiace taxi was headed to Kampala. The collision happened at Kalandazi on the Kampala-Masaka Road.
Eyewitnesses said the drivers of both vehicles were driving recklessly.
The number of the injured passengers was said to be about nine. No deaths were recorded but eyewitnesses said some of the injured had sustained serious and life-threatening injuries.
Accidents have raised road safety concerns in Uganda, with activists calling for more to be done so as to reduce on the loss of lives and injuries associated with crashes.
Days ago, one person was killed in a Gateway bus accident while a Bunyoro prince also perished in an accident in Busega. (See Details Here and There).
Months ago, a car accident killed 13 people, most of them members of the same clan returning from a Kwanjula ceremony, as reported Here.
