A Ugandan MP has told Museveni to appoint Muhoozi vice president. Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni, aged 81 and Uganda’s ruler since 1986, is expected to unveil his 2026-2031 cabinet in coming months.
Following his confirmation as President in the gazette and the impending swearing‑in ceremony at Kololo, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni now turns to the delicate, almost ritualistic task of assembling the cabinet that will carry him through the next five years.
