Assessment body Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) has confirmed PLE 2024 results release date.
The announcement for the release date for results from the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) was made after officials from Uneb briefed first lady Janet Museveni, who is the country’s Minister of Education and Sports.
On January 21, Uneb officials briefed Minister Janet Museveni on the performance in PLE 2024 examinations. Over 700,000 candidates sat for four papers — English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, as well as Social Studies and Religious Education.
The meetings, normally held at State House Nakasero in Janet Museveni’s tenure as education minister, normally precedes the release of the results from each of the end of cycle national examinations administer by Uneb: PLE, Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
And after today’s meeting at State House Nakasero, Uneb announced the PLE 2024 results release date, ending speculation over when the hundreds of thousands of primary leavers would know how they performed in their first national exam.
Uneb says PLE 2024 results will be out this Thursday, January 23, 2025. Janet Museveni will be the chief guest at the release ceremony to held at State House Nakasero.
“PLE 2024 results will be officially released on Thursday, 23rd January 2025, at 11:00 AM at State House, Nakasero,” announced Uganda National Examinations Board after officials met Janet Museveni.
“[PLE 2024 results release ceremony will be] presided over by the First Lady and Minister of [Education and Sports]. The event will be live-streamed on our platforms…”
On Thursday, January 21, 2025, Minister Janet Museveni will also announce the selection date as well as the reporting date for Senior One. (See 2025 school academic year Here).
