Fearless UHRC Boss Wangadya Refuses to Apologize to Muhoozi Over Eddie Mutwe Letter

Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC) chairperson Mariam Wangadya will not be apologizing to first son and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba anytime soon. But as the ‘fearless’ UHRC boss refuses to apologize to Muhoozi, Ugandans fear she is a candidate for basement classes.

When she wrote a letter demanding that Gen Muhoozi releases Eddie Mutwe, real name Edward Ssebuufu, a bodyguard to main opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, Mariam Wangadya was very sure she was doing her job.

Wangadya has no regrets for penning a letter that served as a release order given to the Chief of Defence Forces to release Eddie Mutwe.

Before the Uganda Human Rights Commission chairperson wrote to the CDF, Gen Muhoozi had revealed that Eddie Mutwe was in his basement learning Runyankore, and he also asked Bobi Wine, ‘what will you do about it?’ as reported Here.

But Muhoozi, Museveni’s son aged 51, says the letter from Wangadya was “stup!d.” The CDF and first son has given Wangadya a “last warning” and demanded an apology from her, as reported Here.

Uganda Human Rights Commission boss also seems unbothered by Gen Muhoozi’s demand for an apology and is fearlessly responding to the first son’s labelling of her letter as stup!d, by insisting she was doing her job.

Wangadya has been quoted as telling Daily Monitor that she is “comforted that I issued the order invoking my authority under the constitution, and that it was complied with.”

She Uganda Human Rights Commission chairperson added that as far as she was concerned “any subsequent comments from the CDF are inconsequential.”

Meanwhile, on the day Muhoozi attacked Wangadya and threatened to deport EU officials who met Bobi Wine, the EU honoured the UHRC boss for defending human rights, as reported Here.

Hours later, it emerged that another Bobi Wine bodyguard was ‘abducted.’ (See Details Here).
