In 2019, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was in Anyara Sub County of Kalaki District to commission Lt Gen Peter Elwelu’s church, House of the Almighty Father in Heaven Elohim Church.
Elwelu was the deputy chief of defense forces (D-CDF) of the UPDF. Lt Gen Peter Elwelu’s church is a unique place of worship.
House of the Almighty Father in Heaven Elohim Church complex is attached to the family house of Lt Gen Elwelu.
At the main entrance of House of the Almighty Father in Heaven Elohim Church are the Ten Commandments. The commandments are written in both Ateso and the English language.
On the wall of Elwelu’s Elohim Church are 12 stones. Each of the stones represents the 12 tribes of Israel.
The church also has a lampstand, also with 12 lamps.
In front of the church is an empty chair. This is the one the overseer of House of the Almighty Father in Heaven Elohim Church believes belongs to Elohim himself.
Also interesting at Elohim Church is a stone altar for offering sacrifices to God.
