IGP Byakagaba Transfers Top Police Bosses

Police Chief Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abbas Byakagaba has transferred some top officers in a mini reshuffle.

The changes affect police officers in different units based at the Naguru headquarters of the Uganda Police Force.

The new transfers and appointments were confirmed in a statement by police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke.

seven top police officers will have to change their duty stations and their roles following the reshuffle.

Geoffrey Musana, who is at the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP), will move from the Directorate of Welfare, Production and Sports to Uganda Embassy in South Sudan as Police Attache.

AIGP Musana will replace Moses Sakira. Sakira will head to the Directorate of Research and Planning as Deputy Director.

Also transferred by IGP Byakagaba is Timothy Halango who has been moved from the Directorate of Research and Planning to Welfare and Production as Deputy Director.

Byakagaba also transferred Ben Mubangizi from Traffic and Toad Safety to Algeria as Police Attache. Charles Ssebambulidde will leave the Directorate of Agriculture and head to Logistics and Engineering as Deputy Director of classified stores.

Philip Acaye will move from Traffic and Road Safety to Agriculture as Commandant. Norman Musinga will leave his job as Busoga East Regional Police Commander to become Deputy Director of Traffic and Road Safety.
